SANTORINI - GREECE
"The most romantic island in the Mediterranean" I was told. Blue and white peaceful sunny island with a love in the air. Santorini is one of the islands you should visit at the beginning or at the end of your Greek islands exploring vacation.
My Santorini one day itinerary
Doing my research before the holiday I fell in love with a town called Oia located in the north part of Santorini. Traditional blue domes, churches, and views from the postcards took my breath away. When looking for a hotel definitely get one with a pool or jacuzzi in your room. Waking up in the morning enjoying breakfast already prepared on our terrace seeing breathtaking views. Deciding if staying inside the pool or going out was sometimes really hard.
Choose your beach club or a beach!
It would be a sin not to. Santorini is full of different beaches with all kinds of sands. White beach, red sandy beach or my favourite, black sandy beach. "Wet stories" was our beach club for a day located only half an hour drive from Oia. Absolutely fantastic spot to explore under the volcano, that is how the beach was actually created. Sun, charcoal hot sand, and super friendly staff. That's how my great day looks like, including sipping my cocktails, sunbathing, and swimming in the sea.
Evening in town.
Most of the resorts don't have restaurants although I wasn't crying for one. An evening spent on a rooftop watching sunset having the best table possible, seeing the sea from one side and the sun going down to the sea from the other. Naos restaurant was our spot for tonight. Carpaccios, tzatziki, and mouthwatering dessert. Fine dining place to add to my list of "to not forget". And later after dinner? Romantic walk to our hotel room and jump straight into the jacuzzi and stay talking until late.

Eat Greek - Feel Greek
Ima little excited foodie. And Greek cuisine is one of my favorites. Preparing tzatziki at home with my feta salad is my usual summer light lunch. Fish, pita, and sweets. Baklava is one of the Turkish desserts but in Greece is always a must to order.
Santorini's marked off my little bucket list successfully. Place to visit, enjoy, and definitely to come back after some time. See you soon!
